Jeff Elton, Ph.D., is CEO of Concerto HealthAI, a SymphonyAI portfolio company, and a 3rd generation Real World Evidence company that partners with the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s CancerLinQ initiative and healthcare providers across the U.S. Concerto develops engineered Real-World Data products designed for specific use cases ranging from regulatory submissions, post approval studies leading to label modifications and market access initiatives. Concerto’s engineered datasets are deployed in a clinical cloud environment, with AI metadata, AI Models and AI-enabled applications all aligned to generate “precision evidence” required for high priority use cases.
Prior to Concerto, Dr. Elton was Managing Director, Accenture Strategy/Patient Health, where he focused on building the next generation of value and outcomes-centric business models for healthcare organizations and life science companies. He is the co-author of the widely cited book, Healthcare Disrupted (Wiley, 2016). Jeff has over 25 years of experience as a global executive and consultant in the healthcare and life sciences. He was previously Senior Vice President of Strategy and Global Chief Operating Officer at Novartis Institutes of BioMedical Research, Inc.; founding CEO of an oncology molecular diagnostics and therapeutic pathways company; and founding board member and senior advisor to several early stage companies in Artificial Intelligence, Digital Pathology, Parkinson’s Disease treatment, protein therapeutics, diabetes, oncology therapeutics, and precision medicine/oncology diagnostics.
Jeff is currently a board member of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council. He is a former partner with McKinsey & Company and was adjunct faculty at Boston University, Questrom School of Business, in Health Sector Management. Jeff has a Ph.D. and M.B.A. from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
